July 13th
Friday the 13th!!
I went to PHIP. And then we got to do all of these nursing skills. And afterwards a bunch of OT activities. A few of us did wheelchair races, LOL. But then I raced back to the dorms at dinner because I was on the committee to help out for dorm group Olympics! We set up by the cathedral and one by one the dorm groups started coming in. My dorm group decorated t-shirts, but some of the guys got customized lax pinnies. How sick is that.
We had to do things like 3-legged race, limbo, water balloon toss, (and that game w/ not dropping the egg on the spoon…) and improv skits. Each dorm group got a movie to act out (1 min to plan, 2 min to perform). My group got Titanic which wasn’t that bad, haha. We formed this big boat and had 2 people at the front. The best was definitely either the group that got Lion King or the group that got The Notebook but had no idea (since they were guys) what the movie was even about so they acted out Mulan. LOL.
But yeah! That was tons of fun. And then my suitemates and I stayed up pretty late, talking and such.
July 14th
The last Saturday! :(
A few of us went to Dunkin’ first where I got an iced caramel latte. Thankfully, too, because it kept me awake. We had this 2.5 hour lecture on herbal medicine. It sounded absolutely ridiculous to the majority of us, but whatever. We had to make tea bags and other things that deal with herbs later on.
At lunch, Akul, Amal, Apurva, Dan, Farrah, Maddy, Suzanne, and I went to Panera! A few of us hung out there for a while until we had our PHIP work sessions.
After PHIP, I went back to the dorm to put my stuff down so I could go out with Ankita, Apurva, and Maddy. We went to Rue21, a voodoo shop, Razzy’s, and a flower shop. LOL.
Then all of us tried working for AGES. We didn’t get much done, but we ended up ordering pizza so we wouldn’t have to leave. Around 8:30, Anabel told us that there would be a concert in the park. So we went over there only to be confused by what was even playing, LOL. This random guy came up to us and started talking and I got extremely freaked out…
So we ditched and went to the cathedral and hung out on the 35th floor for a while. We left to go get food (this was at 11PM, haha) and ended up in Dunkin’ Donuts again. :)
…I’m going to miss all of this so much.
