HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE! :)
Let’s think back on the decade…
2000-Kindergarten. New Millennium. Wow—Nap time & coloring inside the lines. If you had the latest toy, you were pretty cool.
2001-First grade. Finally less awkward to write the date on papers. Addition/Subtraction problems & making new friends. 9/11/01 <3 We all remember going home and turning on the TV and watching that—even if we were just 6 years old…..A moment of silence please. <3
2002-Second grade. Our teachers were like coffee addicts, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. Learned how to write in cursive & published a book. How fun?
2003-Third grade. Oh crazy teacher…3rd grade wouldn’t have been the same without you. Spent a whole day sewing macaroni pieces together. We remember the day someone chucked a chair across the room & threw a pencil at a kid’s head. But we remember the oil leak the best…invading the other schools & getting lost.
2004-Fourth grade. Still not much to worry about. Had to write in cursive for over half of the year. Kemps Cash—mmm.
2005-Fifth grade. Good year—Alpha dogs now. Maniac Mondays, Terrific Tuesdays, Wacky Wednesdays, Thriving Thursdays, and Fantastic Fridays. Over all…one of the best years. & Then, finally middle schoolers.
2006-Sixth grade. Oh snap, bottom of the food chain! Lockers were confusing, classes were hard to get to, 8th graders were just plain weird. Pretty good year—so laid back and not much to worry about.
2007-Seventh grade. This year was actually harder than 8th grade. Waaay harder. More homework, more studying, more crazy teachers. …But—<3.
2008-Eighth grade. Such a nice laid back year. Only subjects there was a need to study for was Math & Social Studies, which made the year so nice.
2009-Ninth grade. Freshman—fresh meat. MUCH harder than 8th grade. Still struggling for my A’s. Though, so far it’s been a pretty good year. :) Swine flu phenomenon…is it over yet?
2010-…Hopefully another good year to come.
Hope everyone has a fabulous new year.
Goodbye 2009. Hello 2010-The new decade.
